Four-month AI Placement Programme

Programme

Our flagship employment programme. The Four-month AI Placement Programme is Yalla Labs' core employment pathway for displaced Palestinian technologists.

Participants join the Yalla Labs team as paid contributors, working on live products and open-source technologies that support communities around the world. Alongside project work, participants receive mentoring, technical support, and professional development throughout the programme.

Our placement model is designed to be trauma-aware from the outset. Work is structured to build confidence over time, with clearly defined tasks, realistic expectations, and regular support from experienced team members. We believe that meaningful work should create opportunities without overlooking the realities of displacement.

The programme is fully designed and ready to launch. We are currently looking for organisations and funders to sponsor the next cohort.

Who can register?

This is open to engineers, developers, designers, AI practitioners, and other digital professionals who have been displaced by conflict, occupation, or forced migration.

Our programmes are remote-first and open internationally. The main requirement is professional experience in a digital field and a reliable internet connection.

We're developing new programmes, learning opportunities, and partnership-funded cohorts.

If you're interested in joining a future programme, we'd love to keep in touch. Registering your interest means you'll hear about new cohorts, open calls, and application windows before they're announced more widely.
